ABOUT PARKER
Parker was born in Arlington and raised in Mansfield. He started kindergarten at JL Boren and graduated from Mansfield High School. Parker attended Texas State University, where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. Not wanting a 9-to-5 job, he decided to follow his passion of making ice cream!
Parker has been involved in every step of the way, from coming up with the catchy name, Getcha Sum, to designing the logo, to building, painting, and hanging the logo on the wall at the shop. Parker has always been highly competitive and never settled for average. He has said that, when you are kind enough to purchase his ice cream, he wants it to be an experience. He doesn't want you to say, "That was pretty good ice cream." He wants you to scream, "Wow! Where have you been all my life?!?!"

March 2024 - It's official! Getcha Sum has signed a lease for it's second location! Getcha Sum has been working with some great people at Cap House Mansfield, LLC in renovating the Cap House at 310 E Broad St, located in the Mansfield Historic District. Getcha Sum is excited and honored to be a part of the Mansfield Historic District, bringing Getcha Sum even closer to a community that they love to serve! The Cap House has deep roots in Mansfield. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. This second location will be a more traditional ice cream shop with scoops being served in made-from-scratch waffle cones, along with made-to-order sundaes and shakes!

Getcha Sum is hiring for it's new location! This is the perfect job for a high-school student, college student, or anyone else who has some spare time. The only drawback is that you must like ice cream!
